Beat Battles Tier List Hub
Playstyle ranks, gem priority, and voter-readable gear — no invented SKUs.
How this Beat Battles tier list is scored
Beat Battles is a live Roblox BETA from Overtune in Iceland: a music studio and a 25-player stage contest in the same free experience. Votes are stars from the crowd, not a hidden DPS number. That is why this hub does not publish fake product names, invented S-tier decks, or made-up stage SKUs. We rank playstyles, upgrade order, and readability using tools the HUD actually shows.
Three questions decide every row:
- Does this choice help the crowd hear a clear beat in a noisy club?
- Does it help voters see who is the Current DJ when the banner says you are up?
- Does it spend gems more efficiently than the next shop row?
If a claim fails those tests, it does not belong on an S row. For named cosmetics we have not confirmed, we rank the category (starter decks versus later unlocks, spotlights versus flames) and send you to the catalogue pages under Unlocks.
Playstyle ranks (not loadout names)
Treat these as jobs you can switch between on the same avatar, not as classes with secret stats.
| Rank | Playstyle | Why it wins stars |
|---|---|---|
| S | Foundation DJ | Drum and Bass land first. The room can nod along before the hook arrives. |
| A | Hook writer | Piano Roll, Guitar, or Keys carry a short motif the crowd can hum. |
| A | Stage timer | Spotlights and Flame Machine mark the drop without burying the booth. |
| B | Catalogue collector | Shopping is useful, but a crate does not vote for you. |
| C | FX spammer | Extra whooshes hide the kick. Voters hear mud, not a remix. |
Foundation first is not a taste lecture. On a 25-player server the mix already includes other sets, lobby noise, and your own stage tools. If Drum and Bass are thin, Guitar sparkle and Synth stabs will not rescue the vote. Build the floor, then the hook, then the show. Details live on the DJ decks tier list, stages tier list, and effects tier list.
Lane priority on the sequencer
The studio lanes are Drum, Bass, Guitar, FX, Piano Roll, Keys, and Synth. Rank the lanes, not imaginary loop titles:
- S — Drum, Bass. Kick, snare, hats, and a bass that locks to the kick. This is the difference between a remix and a soundboard.
- A — Piano Roll, Guitar. One hook the crowd can identify in eight bars. Piano Roll is the lane that lets you write notes instead of only dropping loops.
- B — Keys, Synth. Pads and leads that thicken the hook. Useful after the groove exists.
- C — FX as a habit. Sweeps and hits as decoration. One or two at transitions. Not a fourth drum lane.
If you only have gems for a few random rolls, spend them as if you are filling S lanes first. The loop shop page does the gem math; this hub only sets the musical order.
Upgrade priority (what to buy or unlock first)
Gems and production level are different pipes. Gems open the loop shop. Production level is the official climb toward DJ decks, stages, effects, catalogue depth, and billboards. Do not starve the first pipe to fashion-shop the second.
- Own a battle-ready Drum + Bass pair (starter loops or a cheap box).
- Add one identifiable hook on Piano Roll or Guitar.
- Learn the confirmed stage tools — Starter Spotlights and Flame Machine — before you chase extra effects. See how to win battles.
- Buy Triple Loop Bundles when you need catalogue volume; use Single Loop Boxes when you only need one more roll.
- Let production unlocks dress the avatar and the room.
- Open a Full Pack Crate only when 1100 gems will not delay the steps above.
Starter Spotlights versus Flame Machine is a taste call we spell out on the effects list: lights help voters find you, flames help them feel a drop. Neither replaces a kick drum.
Shop value snapshot
Confirmed gem rows:
- Single Loop Box — 100 gems, one random loop
- Triple Loop Bundle — 250 gems, three random loops
- Full Pack Crate — 1100 gems, one random full pack
Per-loop, the Triple is the efficient volume buy (about 83 gems each versus 100). The Full Pack is a cohesion buy, not a discount on singles, unless that pack is a matched set you will actually perform. Cassette currency exists on the same HUD; we do not invent cassette SKUs. Full numbers and examples sit on Loops and Shop.
What this hub refuses to rank
We will not invent names such as a neon pulse deck, a secret S-tier crate, or a numbered stage that Overtune has not shown. Official unlock language is broad on purpose: DJ decks, stages, effects, music catalogue, billboards. Until a patch notes a specific item, rank the job it does. That keeps the list honest through BETA changes.
Codes are not a hidden S-tier income line. None are confirmed. Check Codes when a drop actually ships.
How to use the sub-pages
- DJ decks tier list — starter mixer versus later unlocks, judged by backpack visibility.
- Stages tier list — starter club stage sightlines, lighting truss, crowd views.
- Effects tier list — Starter Spotlights, Flame Machine, and future filter or delay categories.
- Unlocks — what each catalogue bucket is, without ranks.
- How to win battles — when to press the tools this list ranks.
Revisit this hub after you have one finished remix and one real vote night. Ranks should follow what the crowd actually rewards on your server, not a screenshot of someone else’s crate luck.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for remixing, voting, and climbing Beat Battles billboards.
Do you rank named DJ decks or stages?
No. This wiki does not invent SKU names. We rank starter versus unlocked decks as a progression idea, the starter club stage for sightlines, and confirmed tools such as Starter Spotlights and Flame Machine. Named items will be added when Overtune publishes them.
What is S-tier to unlock first in Beat Battles?
A clear Drum and Bass foundation, then a short Piano Roll or Guitar hook, then the stage tools you already have. Gems go to loop boxes before fashion. Production level dresses the booth later. See the loop shop for prices.
Are Flame Machine and Starter Spotlights both S-tier?
Spotlights rank higher for voter readability; flames rank higher for drop energy. Taste matters. Neither beats a weak kick. Full notes are on the effects tier list.
Is this a Friday Night Funkin style ranking of characters?
No. Beat Battles is not a tap-arrow rhythm game and has no FNF roster. You remix loops, write notes, and take the track on stage while the crowd votes in stars.
Does a Full Pack Crate outrank Triple Loop Bundles?
Not on gem efficiency. Triple Bundles cost 250 for three random loops; a Full Pack Crate is 1100 for one random pack. Buy the pack for a matched set after your battle kit exists, not as a first purchase.
Where should I go after this hub?
Read the three sub-lists, then the Unlocks catalogue, then how to win battles so the ranks turn into a set you can actually perform.
